How it works
Real readers submit a real week of their spending, completely anonymously. We lightly edit for length and clarity, strip anything identifying, and publish the ones that give an honest, useful picture of what money actually looks like week to week.
Why bother
Calculators show you the maths. Diaries show you the maths in context: what a $78,000 salary in Brisbane actually feels like once rent, groceries and a night out are accounted for. Seeing real numbers from real people tends to be more useful than another spreadsheet.
Privacy
We never publish names, employers, or anything else that could identify a submission. Age, occupation and location are kept broad on purpose. If you submit and change your mind, get in touch and we'll take it down.
